# Welcome to PayNow

You build a catalogue. PayNow takes the payment, handles tax and fraud as the merchant of record, delivers the purchase to your server, and pays you out.

## Can't find a feature?

A feature can be missing because your plan doesn't include it or your role doesn't allow it. [Why can't I see a feature?](/reference/feature-availability.md) covers both.

## Taking payouts without a store

You don't need a store to receive affiliate settlements through PayNow. Choose **Setup Payouts** rather than **Create Store**, then see [Setting Up Your Payout Account](/getting-started/payout-account.md).
